Hi! I'm Dianna blogging from Sassy, Savvy, Simple Teaching. I am a North Carolina Literacy Coach who loves sports, crafting, decorating and spending time in the sun at the beach or pool. I am a USMC wife who has taught in 3 states. In Florida I taught Kindergarten, 4th/5th ELA and 2nd Grade [co-teach & inclusion]. In Georgia I taught 3rd Grade, Reading EIP and Reading Coach. This is my second year in North Carolina where I taught 2nd Grade Title I Reading and where I am a Literacy Coach.

Although I do not have my own classroom this year, teaching is truly my passion, and I look forward to every opportunity I have to go into a classroom and teach students. It's always the best part of my day.

Our Literacy Committee started the Book of the Month program at school this year. This is our August bulletin board.

I have been married for 5 years now to the nicest man on the planet and we have a 3 year old "firecracker" named Harper! I am currently experiencing being a dance and gymnastics mom with her and I love it! We have 2 dogs, Layla and Beau who are definitely treated as our first children. They are spoiled!

I graduated with my Master's Degree in 2007 in Educational Leadership with a plan of one day working in a College Athletics program as a director, then life happened and took me on a different journey. Being a children's "literacy nerd" was not even a thought in my mind back then, but it turns out that's where I belong. I love reading and creating reading resources! I actually love creating anything for my life!
