#2getherwearebetter [All Things Goals & Plans]

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a fabulous start to their New Year yesterday! I did with an hour and a half in the gym, time with my little family at home and visiting with my favorite extended family from New York! I ate a ton, but you know when family is together that happens:-)

So today I am here with my blogging family to start day 2 of the New Year! This month's topic is about plans and goals. So, let me get started!

As I have entered my mid thirties, been through the USMC ringer, taught in three states, raised a child with no family around to help, making 4 homes for a family in 7 years, leaving friends, making new friends and many other multiple factors I have come to a new reality. My plans and goals have changed. They use to be huge! Like, wild dream huge! But, my version of huge has changed. I like to focus now on setting goals and plans that are daily, weekly and monthly acts that may be small but lead to greatness in the future that is far ahead.

3 words I PLAN on implementing and why...

Stop is my first word, you may ask why... Sometimes I am my worst enemy. I feel that saying "No Thank You", not engaging or not worrying a little more could relieve some stress that build up.

Balance is my second word. I like everyone else, want to balance my time better as a wife, mother, educator, daughter, sister, friend and everything else. I'm still on the search for the "balance" that fits me. I want to do a better job of seeking out rituals and routines that make me feel balanced.

My third word is me. 2015 was the ultimate blow, that it is important. We had a rough deployment and I had some personal things happen health wise. It hit me and it hit me hard. I learned that each day I need 15 minutes to myself for a mental break, 5+ hours a week to work out, 8 hours of sleep each night, monthly date night. 1 day on the weekend we do not do anything and anything else on top is a bonus!

These are 3 realistic words that I PLAN to implement that will come with huge outcomes if I follow through. If I can follow through than I will reach GOALSGOALS to live happier each day. I want to feel good about myself emotionally, physically and mentally. If I feel better and feel happy each day more consistently then I can be awesome at whatever I'm doing!

To me this is my PLAN and GOAL! Simple, real, achievable with huge outcomes. 3 simple words to live by that will make me better in all roles in my life. Healthy and happy on the inside out.

So I saw this from the Frugal Girls on Facebook, it made me laugh! I feel like I am continuously planning to reach goals throughout the entire year. Sometimes I have new routes so I have to write that down. Or, sometimes I have new things to accomplish that I have to write down. Life is crazy, you never know what will or can happen!

I make a personal/home, work and TpT/blogging to do list each week. I feel as if the good old fashion paper pencil check list help me PLAN not only to stay organized but to stay focused on the tasks each week that lead to GOALS! I also PLAN a monthly budget to help us reach a financial GOAL of paying off our credit cards and student loans.

These small PLANS weekly and monthly help me reach short term and long term GOALS.

My husband and I have not written out any specific plans or goals, but we do discuss them regularly. So I jotted them down to share!
